ABOUT

Shea Monahan is a graphic designer, painter, muralist, illustrator, and videographer born in Amherst, Massachusetts. His family moved to the Space Coast when he was was young and he fell in love with the ocean and surrounding coastal area from the very beginning. He spent most of life living in Melbourne, Florida where he enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and playing outdoors, which gave him a passion for all things of nature.

 

Eager to learn more about art, he moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida in 2014. While attending UCF studying art history and graphic design, he gained a passion for ancient art, sculpture, and the great masters of the Renaissance. After graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design in 2017, Shea started his career working for UCF Football and Electronic Arts (EA).

Since then he started his company Shea Monahan Art & Design and focuses on large scale acrylic paintings, murals, and freelance graphic design. His work focuses heavily on precision detail, vibrant colors, breathtaking designs, and unique perspective's on many different subjects.

 

He gains inspiration from his grandfather who was an architect and painter and famous artists such as M.C. Escher, Dali, and Michelangelo.
